With the acquisition of the right to use 400 MHz of spectrum in the 26 GHz millimetre wave band, Adani Data Networks has announced its entry into the industrial 5G market. The company plans to use this spectrum to build a unified digital platform that will digitise its core infrastructure, primary industry, and B2C business portfolio.

According to Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, “given that our portfolio is a highly distributed asset intensive investment that is all being revolutionised by sensorization and fast becoming IoT enabled, we believe the next data surge will be created more by machines than by people as all devices get interconnected.”
