The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) announced on Tuesday that its board of directors will consider a dividend when it releases its first quarterly results on Monday, May 30. In a BSE filing, LIC stated that it will evaluate and approve the audited financial results, standalone and consolidated, for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2022, as well as the payment of dividends, if any, on May 30.
“As a result, the trading window for dealing in the corporation’s shares shall remain closed from May 17, 2022, until 48 hours following the board meeting for consideration and approval of financial statements for the quarter/year ended on March 31st, 2022,” it stated.
On the BSE on Tuesday, the stock was trading 1.59 percent higher at Rs 829.85. The newly listed company was trading at a 12.55 percent discount to its offering price of Rs 949 at this price.
