Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest car maker, is putting in place the building blocks with specific teams for EVs and digitalisation, only weeks after pledging a Rs 10,000 crore investment in electric vehicles in India.
Maruti Suzuki has revamped its organisation, by developing a separate team for electric and connected vehicles, dubbed “New Mobility Division,” to enable a more focused approach.
Shashank Srivastava, Senior ED, Sales and Marketing, will oversee this new team. In addition, a new division named Business Transformation has been developed to help speed efforts in the field of digitalisation.
“The project is currently being implemented. To carry out the strategy, things must be organised in a structured manner; thus, teams are being formed,” stated a source close to the situation.
