According to its guidance to component suppliers, Maruti Suzuki  expects the next quarter to be its strongest this fiscal year, as improved chip supplies are allowing the passenger vehicle market leader to create and sell more cars and SUVs.

According to multiple sources, the maker of the Baleno and Swift has advised its vendors to expect 470,000-490,000 vehicles to be produced in the January-March quarter. If the company achieves this level of growth in the fiscal fourth quarter, it would have achieved its greatest annual growth rate in a decade, at 15%, with volumes of 1.65 million units, with the low base of previous year also helping to enhance the rate. This will also be the company’s largest sales volume in three years, following two years of decline.
