India has advocated for a global framework to govern crypto currencies, citing their use in money laundering and terror financing as the most serious threats to all nations.

“I think the biggest concern for all countries across the board will be money laundering and currency being used to finance terror,” finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said at the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) “Money at a Crossroad” talk in Washington, DC.
