Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran stated on Wednesday that the Tata group will make Air India financially sound, upgrade aircraft, introduce new fleet, and make it the world’s most technologically advanced airline. He said that for Air India to be the greatest again, it will require an organisational makeover, which will “demand a massive transition, maybe the largest transformation and shift all of you will ever go through.” He went on to say that bringing Air India into the fold will allow the conglomerate to reflect the dreams of 130 million Indians, having previously touched the lives of 60 million people through its many brands, which include Taj Hotels, Tanishq, Tata Salt, and Jaguar Land Rover.
