As the sprawling Indian conglomerate vies for a piece of the fiercely competitive sector currently dominated by Amazon.com Inc., Walmart Inc., and Reliance Industries, the $103 billion Tata Group will launch its long-awaited all-in-one e-commerce app, allowing users to buy everything from apparel to airline tickets.

According to the group’s website, the Mumbai-based Tata Digital Pvtdigital .’s services platform, Tata Neu, which will go live to consumers on Thursday, will contain in-house brands such as Croma, Westside, AirAsia India, the Taj chain of luxury hotels, and BigBasket. The website described it as a “super-app” that “unites various businesses across the Tata globe like never before,” and it has been in the works since at least mid-2020.
